Overview - In the end, it is intended that the student: has familiarized himself with the basic concepts of Bioinformatics, with emphasis on Computational Molecular Biology; knows and understands the associated types and sources of data, as well as the most important computational problems; understands the most interesting and important algorithms, in particular on sequence alignment, phylogenetics and pattern recognition; has a perspective on the most popular tools and of open research question in the area.
